Since childhood we have been familiar with writing, painting and drawing on paper. The elegance of the handwriting, however, was reserved only for our hands. Digital imitation, including where and with what pressure the pen touches down and slides on the tablet, is a technical challenge. This challenge can now be made possible with the help of smart technologies. One of them is EMR technology, which is based on electromagnetic resonance. With the help of sensors, an electromagnetic signal is detected, which, together with a changing grid pattern, generates a magnetic field. The magnetic field is detected up to approx. 5 mm above the glass surface and can thus register the position of the writing instrument, as well as angle and pressure.
Based on this technology, we have developed the Al Sport Connect EMR Black in cooperation with Wacom as a digital stylus in the popular look of the Kaweco Sport made of aluminum.
The EMR technology in the grip of the AL Sport Connect EMR Black has just over 4000 pressure levels and thus enables pixel-precise writing, typing and/or drawing with the appropriate software such as Photoshop or Inkscape on the tablet. The pen does not need to be charged and is therefore always ready for use.
For a long enjoyment of digital writing, there are Kaweco replacement tips to replace in case of wear and tear.
